hardcore, anyone?

woke up at around 11:00 this morning; felt sick (continued to feel sorta sick throughout the whole day). went to meier and frank and got three new pairs of jeans and two new shirts (the fitting rooms were nice; they had carpet. most don't. and there weren't the annoying clerks at the front asking "how many are you trying on?" so you could just leave the clothes on the floor if you didn't want them. i always like that). spent the rest of the afternoon watching Mythbusters and Jaws II.

sarah brown and tyler came over at around 4:30 and we played mario kart; we found that our mad mario kart skillz have been diminished as a result of no practice (i wonder if thats the same for Halo, too? if it is, then i will really suck now -- i was never much good at it). and sarah brown brought over some really good cookies.

at 5:30 we left and got japanese food in Portland at Yuki's, and we taught sarah how to eat properly with chopsticks. it was good food, too.

at 7:00, we went to the Loveland to the Hemp show; saw a whole bunch of really random people that i know. like really random people; a girl from my jazz class two years ago, two girls from Lakeshore, a girl from my dads rec soccer team, a guy i sat with in lit. arts in seventh grade...yeah, it was really random. so we hung around for an hour and a half, sean and sarah played Area 51 (in our drivers ed class, the room was attached to a mini grocery store, and they had some arcade games that you could see through a sliding door; one of them was Area 51, so whenever we got bored we'd end up watching the trailer for it over and over and over). they kicked butt at killing aliens / zombies. Hemp played at 9:00 -- they totally rocked, even though they didn't get to play for as long as they should have. not that this stopped them from bridging into another song at the end of their last one.

and then we found out there was a rave happening right after the music show -- and we left. my parents were having fun watching the stoners outside.

also, my forgetful random moment of the day; reached up to my ear while we were at the Loveland and found out that i only had one earring in. i assumed the other one must have fallen out, so i sighed (i really like those earrings, too; they were a christmas present), and took the remaining one out and put it in my pocket.

we get home, and the other one is on the counter; i had forgotten to put both of them in.

nonetheless, i did a little happy dance for my found piece of jewelry.

sidenote: there was also a lame hardcore metal band that played right before Hemp. they had a guy in a cat suit come on stage. they were bizarre.

Speaking of RENT...

At the Hemp show, when they were testing the mics, Sean sang a little bit of RENT.

It was cool.
